Police Registration

If you need to register with the police as part of your VISA requirements you can book an appointment with the police directly by emailing gmp.ivro@gmp.police.uk or telephone on 0161 8563320.
Opening hours are Mon – Fri 8am – 4pm.
Alternatively, you can book an appointment with the police during the welcome week at the student life welcome information point based at university house.
When attending Police registration for the first time You MUST bring the following items with you: -
- Passport
- Offer letter from school
- Address confirmation
- Visa
- 1 passport sized photograph
- £34 in cash (Change available)
You must make your appointment within 7 days of arrival. Due to a large number of students needing to register. You may not be seen for several weeks. This will not affect your immigration status.
FAILURE TO REGISTER WITH THE POLICE MAY RESULT IN A FINE OF UP TO £5000 AND/OR IMPRISONMENT FOR 6 MONTHS.
