Airport Transfer
All transfers must be booked in advance through our online system. Transfers from Manchester Airport are only available through Arrow Cars and will be booked in advance for you by the University.
Transfers from Manchester Railway Stations or the Coach Station must be paid for by you on the day but you can claim a refund if you have booked online in advance.
Transfers from Manchester Airport and Manchester Stations
Airport and Station Transfers are available for first year international students arriving into Manchester for the first time.
Manchester Airport Transfer
To be eligible, you must follow the instructions on this page carefully. To claim a free airport transfer from Manchester Airport to the University or your accommodation you must:
- make a booking through our online booking system before you make your journey
- use our official taxi provider Arrow Cars
- show your booking confirmation at the Arrow Cars booking desk. If you are not able to do this you will you will have to pay for the taxi journey yourself
If you travel with another taxi company you will have to pay for this yourself and we will not be able to provide a refund.
We will provide a taxi transfer from the airport up to a maximum value of £25. If your transfer costs more than £25 you will have to pay Arrow Cars the difference at the time of travel.
Manchester Railway / Coach Station Transfer
If you arrive in Manchester by train or bus you can claim a taxi transfer from a Manchester train / bus station to the University or your accommodation. You will have to pay for the taxi yourself at the time then claim a refund. To claim a refund of the cost you must:
- make a booking through our online booking system before you start your journey.
- get an signed taxi receipt from the driver showing the date and time, the start and end of the journey and the total price
- bring your taxi receipt, your travel documents, your offer letter from the University and confirmation that you booked your taxi in advance to University House.
We will refund taxi costs up to a maximum of £15 from Manchester railway and coach stations..
It is your responsibility to ensure that you make a booking and obtain the correct paperwork. The University cannot provide refunds without all of the correct documentation or in any circumstances other than those described above.
Manchester Railway Stations are Piccadilly, Oxford Road, Victoria, Deansgate, Salford Crescent and Salford Central.

We will take you to:
- University Main campus addresses
- University and partner accommodation
- Private accommodation, if in the vicinity of the University. We contact you when you have booked your transfer to confirm the address.
