  • Academic misconduct - rules concerning plagiarism (presenting someone else’s work as your own), collusion, falsification of results etc.
  • Academic regulations - the full regulations governing how our programmes are taught and assessed, and how our students are recruited.
  • Codes of conduct for students - covering what misconduct is, and what action we may take.
  • Codes of practice on freedom of speech - covering both personal and academic expression.
  • Complaints procedure - what to do if you want to complain about a university service.
  • Examination rules - the rules for sitting examinations, what you can and can’t take into the examination room and so on.
  • ILS Policies - including short and easy rules about using the library resources, the ICT network, email and more.
  • Personal mitigating circumstances - what to do if something unexpected has happened to affect your learning or assessment.

These are the main rules and regulations that directly affect you as a student. In addition to these, you will be expected to follow the rules regarding payment of fees, and any agreements you make with your school and tutors regarding your coursework.

All students are expected to behave in a manner that is legal, decent, and respectful of fellow students, staff and others, whilst in and around University premises.
